When I came along, my parents gave me several names. One of those was after a star - Capella.
In looking it up I found that it is one of (actually, binary) the brightest stars and a part of many different mythologies. The one I find the most fun is 'little she goat' (Latin). In Roman mythology the star represented the goat Amalthea.
The other name, Ananda, refers to a disciple of Buddha and also means bliss in Sanskrit.
Hmnn, sometimes it's pretty cool to have hippie parents!
