I am a bit behind in my updates here. Oops!
A couple of weekends back Curt threw a birthday party for me. What a nice time!
Marti and Brad brought bloody mary's and most everyone else started out with beer and/or wine. Over the course of the evening, the remnants of us migrated to vodka (everyone else) or water (wussy me).
I think the memorable quote from that evening is 'Have you seen my pants?'
I got really thoughtful and lovely gifts. My friends know me well...
beautiful plants, Adirondack chairs, vibrant cut flowers (still have a few of the casa blanca lilies going), a birdhouse on a pitchfork, an indoor witch ball, yarn, wine, jewelry, cookies, cake and a fun print. There is more, but I don't want to get y'all too envious.
On the following Monday Mum arrived and visited us for two weeks (tragically, she had to leave yesterday :(
So, she and Curt took me out for a fancy-pants dinner. I made up for not getting properly blotto over the weekend by indulging in 2 gargantuan glasses of red wine. The next day I was singing Neil Diamond in UB40 fashion...
