It's great when you hear about someone using something they love to make a name for themselves. There's John Milkovisch who's beer can clad house is being turned into a museum.
How about the art car festival? Here are pictures from 2007 - even though it's no car, I'm pretty impressed by the one ton chopper.
I've never even been vaguely tempted by Texas, but maybe Houston has something to offer after all.
