Clapotis

Thanks Kara,
I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love it and you!

Yarn hound

Star light, star bright...

...first star in the sky this afternoon!? Thanks Brad & Mart! I finally have a spot for it until we are hanging out again in the garden...

Instrumental

Mr. adores shopping off of Craig's list. Here's his latest purchase - an upright. Well, it was a trade really (he managed to swap it for one of his many electric basses). I can't wait to hear him have a go at it. He also recently picked up a half-sized cello, so that should make for fun listening.

Last visitor of 2008

Aunt came to see us for 'wrestle-mania.' Now Katharine, before you get too excited, let me mention that it is actually a college wrestling meet, tournament, whatever. As far as I know, there are no capes or masks - just a lot of sweat and cauliflower ears.
Anyhow, she was occupied during the days, but we got to see her and cousin for a couple of nights. Of course, I forgot my camera - so no photos of cousin looking like the mountain man with his beard - du-oh! But, here's one that came out of Aunt & I...

Narcolepsy

It would be nice if we could all stay awake at the same time in this house. After the humans went to bed, Ernie decided that it was time to be awake. Damn dog :)

Cranky

So, my Christmas gifts this year to myself were 2 giant zits on the side of my nose. Yesterday, I looked like I'd just stepped outta the ring. Today they seem to be a little calmer, but they're still prominent enough! I'd better go eat some chocolate and scratch at them a bit. Who's a pretty girl?

The happiest season of all

Maybe for some, but I don't think that Mr. enjoys this stuff somehow. Perhaps you've never heard his arguments in favour of eliminating such arbitrary 'holidays.' He does try to get into it for me a bit, but look at him just squirm with discomfort - poor guy!

hairy

What a sweetie Sean is - it shouldn't be too much longer growing his hair out for Locks of Love...

Old Ernie

Ernie whizzed on our new rug today for about a solid minute. I hope that his kidneys don't get too much worse over the next few weeks. Poor guy - I can't even get pissed (ha) I just feel so bad for him.

Projects and presents

Curt has been helping Sergi with his senior project and I've been reaping all the benefits. Let me explain...
So far, we've gotten a gift basket of cheeses and apples and the goodies that go along with; we've been given a yummie cranberry-nut bread; a gift certificate to Undercurrent and this neat canoe bowl all as thanks.
Now I have to say Thank You for all the great gifts. Hopefully Sergi gets a good grade - we ate all the edibles and I don't like returning stuff:)

Sofa snuggles

It took a long time, but see how happy Ernie looks with Uncle? Clovis, of course, adores him as usual...

Merry, merry

This year we decided that we have enough: enough clothes, enough entertainment and certainly enough food. What we both wanted was a new rug for the wooden room so that when Ernie jumps off the sofa, he has something soft to land on. So happy holidays to us - yay!

Floppy

Okay, I couldn't resist one last picture of the amarylis...Houston? We have floppage!
Guess the supporting stakes were too elegant and not functional enough. Such is life.

Dear Todd

We are very interested in your youtube journal of what life in Japan is like.
In any case, I came across these photos of you fellows from Christmas 01 - enjoy!

Inspiring Mum

Well, Mum's knitting is much more interesting and not so riddled with mistakes. However, I am pleased to see that I can still do it (albeit rather slowly and poorly:)

Open and unexpected!

Our amaryllis is finally opening. I was expecting a 'red lion' bloom, but we ended up with an 'apple blossom.' Oh well, it'll be just as pretty when it's going a bit better...

Amaryllis today

Well, the bloom is on it's way, but unless it opens tonight, Mum will miss it - drat!
Anyhow, it began doing the big lean over (not surprising since it's about 2 1/2' tall). So, I was afraid it would become the big flop & thus staked it so. Not so pretty, but what to do?

Tasty toes

Ymummas! Actually, I'm just jealous of how flexible he is in his old age. I'm getting to middle-aged and have trouble just tying my shoelaces half the time.
